In Motion is an album of ambient piano realness. Designed to evoke a fluid state of consciousness through rhythmic energy and melodic bursts. Inspired by movement and the transformation of potential energy into kinetic, In motion provides the listener with a sonic conduit perfect for balance and flow.
Here’s a sneak peek of me writing in my music journal. This piece is called Eastbound from my new album entitled In Motion. This set of works is designed to accompany the rich textures of the Columbia River Gorge just a short drive East of Portland, OR. Eastbound and is an homage to the great composer Julius Eastman. It uses minimalist techniques and is meant to create a trance like state of mind evoked by the streams, rivers and waterfalls that exist in the gorge.
