One day while sitting outside a local bar in Portland, Oregon, there was a male presenting human wandering anxiously asking each person he encountered. “You got change for a dollar?” Every person who bothered to respond said no. Some made eye contact, others just avoided acknowledging. After he asked me and I said no, I thought to myself, is he asking for four quarters or actual change? Is he asking for a change in our mindset, in social interaction, change our thoughts to reflect our convictions? If so, is 1.00 too much to ask for an investment in change?
