Mad Composer Lab Collaboration

Rodney Seay

Enjoy this piece entitled Seven Hundred and Fourteen Years with Rodney. This is an amazing musical journey featuring the music of Rodney Seay incorporating samples from the Mad Composer Lab instrument called the ‘dreadblock’.

About Rodney Seay

Growing up in Greenville, South Carolina, at the age of three, Rodney already knew what he was going to do with his life. His father, a choir director at their church, had an impressive resume working with legends such as Willie Nelson, Reba McEntire, George Jones, Roger Miller and others of that Stature. His father was with “Four of a Kind” for many years, and is an influence to this day for Rodney. The Gospel harmonies and the daily exposure to music led to his playing by ear.

Some early influences are Pink Floyd, Doors, Hendrix and others. Rodney later turned his thoughts to bluegrass, old Tony Rice records, blues, and, other traditional music.

Thus expressing Rodney’s main goal: to be heard and felt by people the world over. As a songwriter Rodney has a lot to give, and even more to be felt through his unique songwriting background and heartfelt message.
